FINDmsg - Search Apple Messages and email locally on your Mac

FINDmsg is a local-first search app for macOS that lets you search your Apple Messages and your email from one window, instead of switching between apps and guessing which one holds the message you need. Type a query with AND and OR terms, then narrow it by contact name and by a date range, so a vague memory like "the quote from March" turns into a short list you can actually scan. Results open right where you left them, and you can export the matches to CSV, print them, or save a PDF for a client file, a dispute, or your own records. Everything is processed on your Mac. Messages and mail stay on your machine, and the app does not upload your conversations to a server. The first 10 searches are free so you can confirm it finds what you need. After that, a one-time $20 license unlocks the app on one Mac, with no subscription and no account required. FINDmsg is not notarized yet, so the first time you open it macOS asks you to allow it under Privacy & Security. It is built for people who live in iMessage and email all day: freelancers chasing an old client note, small business owners pulling a receipt thread, and anyone who has lost time scrolling through a conversation that should have been one search away.
